Notre
Dame D'Access'

Notre Dame d'Access, Crillon-le-Brave

This painting of the small chapel just down the road from the studio was painted quickly outdoors one morning in early March and then finished in the studio, as you can see the tree's have not yet come into leaf (top right). The sky when facing north, away from the sun attains a depth of colour which is often breathtaking, set off against the warm colour of the local stone.
