These five large scale still life paintings each measuring 120 x 90 cms were commissioned by Cunard for the new flagship Queen Mary 2. The subject was to be food still life as the paintings were destined to hang in the Britannia Restaurant. These are the biggest still life paintings I had ever attempted and the scale of the painting was quite a challenge in my limited studio space. The Queen Mary 2 made its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York in January 2004.
